Atypiqua shows a bright golden hue with fine bubbles and a focused Grand Cru Chardonnay profile. The nose is layered, combining citrus zest, white peach, and ripe orchard fruit with subtle toasted and brioche nuances from extended lees ageing and oak vinification. On the palate, it is structured and precise, with a creamy texture balanced by vibrant acidity and chalky Avize minerality. Long ageing on lees brings depth and complexity, while the zero-dosage Brut Nature style gives a clean, dry, persistent finish.
Atypiqua is a concept cuvée of 100% Chardonnay Grand Cru from Avize, vinified as seven distinct wines in 228-liter oak barrels from the Montagne de Reims. Made exclusively from the second pressing of the grapes (100% taille), it undergoes alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts and complete malolactic fermentation. After two years of ageing on fine lees, it was bottled in July 2022 without fining or filtration.
Aged on lees between 60 and 72 months in the cellar. Hand riddling. Disgorged at least 60 days before release. Brut Nature (0 dosage).
